Mat-Su Energy Inc. would like to thank all who have helped and supported the idea of creating a renewable energies company here in the Mat-Su Valley.
Cassandra and George Sikat (owners of Mat-Su Energy Inc.) will do their best to educate the public on Solar, Wind, Geothermal, and Alternative Energy development. Our site will have helpful links and learning aids for the end user as well as links to state and government websites that post tax rebates/incentives and possible cost saving programs. Mat-Su Energy Inc. will have the support of grant writers that have worked with rural Alaskan villages. We are currently working on a "Green Energy” program to help a large number of rural villages and towns achieve more efficient means of electric power and heat production. This program will employ at least two residents from each community and train individuals to service neighboring villages. There is a strong possibility to employ and train over 500 Alaskans and place them into the Green Collar Worker category.
As part of our business we are a certified dealer for many renewable energy products that have been proven in harsh climates similar to Alaska's. Wind turbines of the utility grade, solar panel systems that are now more efficient and heat recovery units that can be used in conjunction with existing dependable diesel generators will be part of the "Green Energy Program". High temperature geothermal storage units will be looked at as a means to temporarily store heat.
Our idea is not to replace what exists but to adapt and compliment successful power systems. Offset is the best word to describe our philosophy. The reality of high priced fuel oil and the climbing prices of home/business electricity affect everyone.
